What is a Persona?

A persona is a preset identity template that creators provide for users.

In AI chat, the AI character's setup matters — but so does "who the user is." By providing preset personas, creators can offer users the most fitting identity for the current story, helping them step into the narrative more quickly.

Core Structure

Each persona includes three basic pieces of information:

  • Avatar: A visual representation that fits the identity
  • Name: The name of the role the user plays
  • Description: A detailed identity profile — appearance, backstory, personality, and relationship to the AI character

Use Cases

Creators can set up one or more personas for a creation to offer different interactive experiences:

  • Multi-route storylines: For example, with a fantasy character, you could preset "enemy assassin" and "childhood friend" personas. Depending on which the user picks, the AI's attitude and story direction will differ entirely.
  • Paired with branching openings: Combined with multi-branch greetings, different identities can start the story from different scenes.
  • Lowering the barrier to entry: Give users who don't know what role to play a ready-made, high-quality identity to step into.

Tips

  • Preset personas are optional. When starting a conversation, users can choose to use your preset persona — or skip it and use their own account's default identity.
  • Writing detailed background descriptions for personas greatly improves the AI's understanding of "who the user is," leading to more coherent and immersive interactions.
